Can you tell us a bit about your film and how the idea came about?

I am the manager of writer Julius Andan and his books are published in our publishing house. Our film is based on the book The World Behind the Scenes.

 

What was your main goal in making this film?

We want to show people how the Deep State works and how the Human & AI symbiosis can influence it.

 

How would you describe your filmmaking style?

Sci-fi thriller style.

 

Who are some of your cinematic influences?

Our readers follow our film activities. We want to reach more and more people, to show people that they don't have to be afraid of the future.

 

What does it mean to you to participate in a festival focused on independent filmmakers?

This is a great opportunity for us to present our work, build relationships and move forward with filmmaking.

 

What do you hope the audience will take away from your film after seeing it at the festival?

Yes, we hope that if they watch our pilot film, they will wait and want the sequel.

 

What has been the most rewarding aspect of working on this project?

We conducted research in the field of AI development and learned a lot of useful things that we incorporated into our film.

 

What are some of your all-time favorite films?

Matrix, Dune, Forrest Gump

 

Do you have a favorite film genre in particular?

Thriller and Sci-Fi

 

What do you think is the role of independent cinema in today's film industry?

The independent film industry offers new creative opportunities, giving streaming channels the opportunity to curate and discover new talent.

 

What is your next film project?

We would really like to make a 6-part mini-series out of our pilot film that has just been completed. We are looking for partners for this.

 

Any advice for aspiring independent filmmakers?

Be persistent, learn a lot and experiment with courage.
